From $19 a month, priced by what you track.

A seat count would punish exactly the shops this is built for, where one consultant administers everything and the value has nothing to do with how many people sign in. So it is priced on assets, which is the one number you already know, and every figure is on this page.

Two tracks, same seven tiers

This Mac and my devices

The register is a file on hardware you control. Your phone syncs to it across your own network and to nothing else. None of your inventory reaches us. There is no account, and no telemetry or analytics. The only thing that can reach us is a support message you choose to send.

Sold as Starkive Local. Includes upgrades, compliance-framework updates as the standards move, and support from a person. It is not free just because it runs on your hardware.

Starkive Cloud

Sold as Starkive Cloud. Your devices sync through infrastructure we run, so a Mac and a phone agree without sharing a network. It costs more at every tier, and the premium widens as the fleet grows.

Regulated scope, disposal evidence, each asset’s lease rent, condition notes, custom field values and every photograph are encrypted on your device with a key we never receive. We could not read those if you asked us to. Contracts are not sealed, so a lease contract’s monthly cost is readable.

Every tier, both tracks

Monthly, through the App Store. Each tier covers a set number of devices at once, your own included: 5, 10, 15, 25, 40, 60 and 100, from the smallest tier to the largest, on both tracks. Storage is derived from the asset count and is generous; you are never billed by the gigabyte, and going over your tier never stops you recording an asset.

US dollars, per month. The App Store charges you in your own currency at Apple’s rate for your region, and what the app shows you is always what you pay. The app is free to download, with a three-day demo to look round; the subscription is what unlocks your own register.

The cloud premium is not a hosting bill. Measured against what the app actually sends, running a 40,000-asset workspace costs us about eighteen cents a month. Hosting is the floor, not the reason. What the cloud track sells is a fleet reachable from a client site without being on that site’s network.

Both apps are on the App Store now. Download free and see the demo first. Download on the App Store

Have a look first, free

There’s no free trial. There’s a free demo.

Open the demo from the very first screen. It’s a made-up company, Hill Valley Gas and Electric, with 1,000 assets, plus its people, contracts and paperwork, all filled in. It’s free for three days from the moment you open it, not from install. No card, and nothing of yours goes in it. When you’re ready for your own register, pick a plan.

If a subscription ends

Your register stays readable and exportable. It is never locked.

This product holds hardware registers, often a consultant’s client’s register, mid-audit. An app that locks you out of that because a card expired has made its billing calendar your compliance problem. So only adding and editing stop. Reading, reporting and exporting keep working.

What the price does not have in it

  • Per-seat fees. The number of people who sign in is not a billing input. Each tier covers a set number of devices instead.
  • Per-asset fees. There are none. The tier is the price.
  • Paid AI add-ons. The AI runs on your Mac, on Apple’s own on-device models, and is not metered.
  • Storage bills. Storage is derived from the asset count. Photographs, sanitization certificates and attachments are not charged by the gigabyte.
  • An upgrade to get compliance. All twelve frameworks, all seventy-two controls and the evidence pack are in every tier. There is no compliance edition.

And what is not in the product

  • Software discovery. Licences are tracked as records, with seats purchased set against seats assigned and over-allocation flagged. But nothing scans a machine to find out what is installed on it, so reconciling entitlements against real installs is still manual. If that is the problem you are shopping for, this is not it yet.

One subscription covers the Mac and the iPhone. See how it works, or read the guides.
